When people ask me what I “do” for a living, I enjoy telling them I sell products they use every day. It doesn’t matter if they are working, retired, in school, or a stay-at-home individual, we all use doors.
Doors fascinate me. Don’t judge! They can be mundane or elaborate. What I know after more than twenty years in this industry, is that doors are most often invisible. If they are working correctly.
This blog is a tribute to doors. We use them multiple times a day and sometimes do not consider the functionality of them, the necessity of them, the beauty of them. Yes, there are some ugly ones as well.
The point here is to share some interesting doors – whatever caught the eye of the beholder. If you have photos you would like to share, we will collect and post as time and space permits.
The added bonus of doors (at least ones that are installed) is they sometimes lead to beautiful hardware. Okay, I know, it’s just a hinge. But is it really? Sometimes, it appears to be more of a work of art. Take a look before you dismiss the possibilities.
